Isn’t that just a little cliché?

No, not really, it’s about as close to reality as you can get.

The thing is, past and future don’t really exist: they’re purely mental representations that we’re experiencing here and now, in the present.

Our mind gets hooked on thoughts: we assume that what we’re thinking is true. Our thoughts “become” our reality… and a lot of our life often becomes a mess.

We can come back to our natural, spacious, inner state: just looking, hearing, feeling… without having to understand, comment, criticize or control. And at last last, we see that we’re free. Seeing Alive…

From Meditation…

It’s not just about closing our eyes and meditating… and then going back to active life with the same old difficulties and crazy habits.

It’s about “bringing Presence” into daily life that those conditioned habits start to change by themselves. Since we’re no longer identified with what caused them to exist, they just start to crumble away.


Integrating Presence into Daily Life

And that’s just where SAPP® Presence Practice wants to make the difference. Conditioned habits come from repetitive thoughts that we automatically believe to be true, over and over again. “It ain’t the stuff that happens to us, it’s the stuff we think about the stuff that happens to us” –modern translation of Epictetus, ancient Greek philosopher.

So let’s leave the realm of thoughts: not a brutal exit, but a friendly one, almost on tiptoes, still watching as we go… and watching again if we find ourselves back in the old pub again, hearing those same parrot-like thoughts again and noticing the same reactions… but not quite as hooked into them as before.

Let’s start to experience something else with our lives: vibrant, peaceful, and happy.
